Hello, I’m Angela Mago, President of Key’s Commercial Bank. Today I wanted to take a few minutes to address our KeyBank Dealer Finance clients, as well as our Dealer Finance teammates.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’ve been with KeyBank for over 30 years, leading the Commercial Middle Market platform since 2019 and the Commercial Real Estate platform since 2014. I’m also a member of Key’s Executive Leadership Team.
I grew up in the Detroit area and many of my family members, including my father and brother were employed in the automotive industry for many years. I have a very personal connection to the automotive industry and its importance to our economy.
KeyBank recently made the difficult decision to exit the Indirect Consumer Auto Loan business. I want to assure you however, that Key remains committed to the Dealer Finance business. For more than 60 years Key has provided floorplan lines and loans to automotive dealers across the country. And many of our dealer relationships span decades.
Key is a relationship bank and Dealer Finance represents a great opportunity for Key to enhance and grow its relationship-based business. We are committed to delivering our complete suite of banking services to our dealer client base including floorplan lines, acquisition financing, real estate financing, treasury management capabilities, private banking and employee banking solutions.
I’m very excited to share that Scott Young will lead the Dealer Finance business for Key and Brian Bateman will lead the Sales organization for Dealer Finance at Key. Both Scot and Brian are industry veterans in Dealer Finance, and they’re committed to delivering quality service to our teams. Also, Skip Watson, who is a middle market Regional Executive in Key’s Great Lakes region will welcome the Dealer Finance team to his scope of responsibilities.
