Andrew Puckett
Corporate Strategy Intern

Interview
Why did you choose to come to Key? What attracted you specifically?
The internship at Key offered me the chance to gain hands-on experience and insight into corporate strategy. It’s more than just learning about corporate strategy and an opportunity to be involved in strategic planning projects. It’s been a super valuable experience for me!
I chose Key for a couple of reasons. I like the idea of gaining my initial career experiences at a company large enough to get the feel of a Fortune 500 company but agile enough to have access to those who make the big decisions. I have access to communicate with business leaders and learn about their professional experiences. Additionally, not many companies offer an internal strategy role, let alone to undergraduate sophomores, so this was a tremendous opportunity for me to gain valuable experience early on.
How did you find the onboarding process and its associated Enterprise Intern Program events?
I found onboarding to be both easy and efficient. You can tell Key has done this before. I could not have imagined a more manageable process of joining a company in a remote environment, especially when many companies have not adjusted efficiently.
Regarding the intern program events, I have found them helpful in career development and networking. I appreciate meeting people with more experienced and hearing about their career journeys.
What advice would you give to someone considering an internship at Key?
The biggest thing for me was networking before I started through LinkedIn or connecting on the phone. With my internship, I'm fortunate to be in the office, and everyone seems open to meeting over coffee or for a few minutes in their office. My advice for fellow interns is to take the time to reach out to recruiters, program managers, and colleagues at Key because they are happy to help you make the most of your time here. That's what's unique about this place.
Key is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
