Interview
What made you join KeyBank? What makes you stay?
I worked for Society Bank when it was acquired by KeyBank. I’ve stayed on and remained loyal to Key because they allow me to find good balance between my work and my personal life. This job has allowed me to focus on being a mom (never missing softball games) and now a grandma (I can help with babysitting the grandkids). Flexible scheduling and strong support from management makes Key the ideal company for me.
What do you like about your role?
I get a lot of enjoyment out of being a familiar face for our clients. Getting to know people in the community and helping them when life-changing events arise is very rewarding to me. As needed, I help people connect to Bankers who can help them transition to better financial products as they move through life’s stages. I’ve worked on building trust through the years. Our clients know I am someone to rely on if they have questions or concerns. Being in banking for 30 years I’ve seen many approaches to guiding clients. At Key we are focused on supporting financial wellness and I’m really enjoying this modern, client-centered approach.
Do you feel your results are rewarded?
There are many opportunities to receive awards that recognize our efforts and our dedication to clients. There are monetary rewards for doing good work, Appreciation Points (branch meets goal and everyone gets points that can be converted into cash or gifts), Star Awards – recognition for being a top performer. Our efforts don’t go unnoticed!
Key is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
